Becuase Iran is not a baby like Iraq who could be easily invaded and would welcome US troops with open arms !! They would resist and this resistance would cost US a big deal of lives and money !! iraq was a half dead nation(thanx to saddam ,the US friend) and even they didn't allow US to get hold of it that easily and Iraq war is considered as the second biggest failure of US governament after Veitnam !!it would be stupid to consider Iran an easy victim to prey !!and Btw , they didn't exploded yet (like the rest of the 8 nuclear powers) so why are US so depressed by their nuclear program?? i think US should first deal with North Korea, and then should wait till Iran would go for some experiment !! Ahh but if you do not have some other intensions. then ofcourse you can not wait for that long !!!.........Iran issue has many grey areas and asking for explanation you know .If many other countries in the world own this power then why criticising Iran only?? and reason is very obvious !! I wish i could understand US politics !!

Because under the NPT , North Korea has the right to enrich uranium to produce nuclear fuel for civilian use. So far, they have not done anything which violates the treaty.
