my family's planning to shift to abuja. so we were just wondering what kind of a place is it? what's the crime rate? is it safe? how would the general living lifestyle be? How are the medical facilities?
im indian..so howz the indian community over there?

Well, there is good news and bad news.
The bad news is, Abuja being the capital and the seat of all the leaders, there is potential unrest and danger during political turmoils. Like right now after the presdential election. Petty theft is more common than violent crime and both can be minimized with precautions. Medical is weak, which is why all the weathy travels aboard for serious treatments.
But the good news is, Abuja is not half as crowded, conjested and polluted as Lagos. The district is of newer constructions and the general basics of life is better. Like electricity and communications. Quality of life is in direct co-relation with personal budget and spending.
In Nigeria, besides the natives, the Indian community is only second to the Lebonese. So you are most definitly not a minority.
BTW, while it is not exactly paradise, Nigeria is not hell like many people associates it with. It is slowly progressing amidst the corruption and poor education troubling many other developing countries like itself.

How's new York -UK,I've heard that u have to watch your back all the time,''ve heard that schools are not safe students are shooting each Arther and ther's bombs every were restaurants and trains.oh, by the way if you can come here in SA (Cape TOWN)we don't have those crazy things here,and the weather is fine we don't have floods not to forget gang-stars.
