I assume that you mean an ANTI-spyware?
In addition to your Norton Anti-Virus, I would Download and scan your machine occasionally with one of these excellent anti-spyware / anti-adware programs.
SUPERAntiSpyware:

Ewido (Now called AVG Anti-Spyware) do not download AVG anti-virus.

All the above have a free edition, that's probably what you will want to download.

I use an AdawareSE on my PC and laptop and I'm amazed at the spyware it detects every week, when I update and scan. For personal use, AdawareSE is free to download and use from www.lavasoft.com
Norton Anti Virus will not prevent spyware. Also, update your NAV regularly.

Spyware is kind of malicious software..so i don''t think you need that.
If you mean Spyware Remover, then i think it's better for u to have it besides Norton Anti Virus

The most important thing to have is a firewall, and I prefer Zone Alarm freeware to the Windows XP firewall.
