I can totally understand why your hubby don't like that name. It's not pretty. It is a mix between Sharon and Kool-Aid, Sharolaid? lol lol

Cheers

Think about when your kid is looking for a job. The person looking at applications or resumes sees 10 fairly equal applicants for the job. Do you think your kid, with his/her unique name, has the same chance as the other nine applicants with normal names. Of course they don't. You may like the name for your own reasons but don't handicap your child for the rest of their lives.

Smart husband. Dumb name. In a few years, you will thank him for stopping you. Do you really want your child to have to go thru the torments that kids do with such a bullseye on their back. I can see it now..."Wanna get 'Laid? Hey, 'Laid! I got 'Laid!" She'll hate you for it.

Croneshia? Better than the first...not by much...but better. Don't you like your children? Here's an idea. Run it by some kids in the neighborhood. They will be brutally honest. Children usually are.

Think about how you'd love to be called "Crone" by all your friends. If that doesn't bother you, run look it up in the dictionary. http://www.babynames.com/ Check here for LOTS of name ideas. Make sure you check the initials too. How horrible to stick your child with initials like A. S. S. or S. L. T.

Well, everyone has different tastes in names. Make a conversation, and think of a name TOGETHER that u and both your husband will like. _

Sounds to me like a new Sharon fruit fizzy drink.

"Come on, sip some Sharolaid!"

Good luck though :-)

Added comment: Croneshia?! Sounds like a disease!! I agree with unique but who the hell calls their kid Sharolaid OR Croneshia??

Say you call the baby Sharolaid the nickname would be "Laid" or "Laidy" and
Croneshia would be "Crony"

How would you like being called Crony or Laidy?!?!

Its not too bad. It sounds a little French. Considering your husband's feelings, I would adjust or change it or compromise. How about Sharolain, Sharolyn, or Sharolin?

No, it is too odd a name. Besides, it ends with LAID. Don't you think that is a bad idea?
