The Acer 5633 is a more modern laptop that has dual core but doesn't have a better graphics card (dedicated) as opposed to the other AMD Turion. Though the C2Duo has a slower chip 1.86 ghz, but still it has a better battery life because the intel chip is more energy efficient, has a smaller sized screen, and technologically more advanced. The AMD on the other hand has a 17 inch screen, faster clocked chip, also tends to generate more heat, heavier and less battery time between charges, but may play some games in medium settings. For the price being the same, you should ask yourself, what do I want to do with it? Do I want portability, faster speed and won't bother about battery life? A 17 inch screen is very large, and the battery life must be short because Turion battery consumption would be high, heat is a problem and you'll be charging more often. The Intel is more of a buiness type laptop, no games just applications etc. If you want games, buy a desktop or playstation/Xbox. A laptop is too expensive to play games.
