With all the money that Disney makes, why does one have to call "1-407" to make reservations or ask questions? Why don't they have a "1800" number?

Actually, there are a few toll-free numbers, but they are reserved for Annual Passholders and other "special" groups -- it's considered a perk for those folks.

Disney used to have toll-free numbers for all interested folks, but the numbers were abused and over-used, and ended up costing more than they were worth.

I have free long-distance with my cellphone, so I don't mind using their 407 area code numbers to speak with them -- especially if I know that, in the end, it's saving me money (since Disney doesn't have to foot the bill).

Supplies them with what? Merchandise, Food, Office Supplies, Light Bulbs. In the Business to Business World a Vendor would love to have a customer the size of Disney. At the same time short of any major corporate sponsorship(Honda, Coke...etc) Disney does not go out of their way to announce any of their Outside Vendors. And short of the major sponsors, it is doubtful that this information is available in any public source. So this is unfortunately a case that to know who is doing business with Disney, you already need to know the name of the companies. In the past I have worked with companies that supplied them with various food items, but that company had no idea who else was supplying them and they knew there had to be others because they were not supplying a big enough order to fill Disney's requirements.

hmmmm let me think about that...........
how the heck do you think Disney Makes all that money.
Its not with movies or cartoons, Hotels or thrill rides
Its through their phones. I mean really.
Did you expect Walt to crawl out of the grave and give us all cell phones and free copies of Mickey Mouse dvds?
