Women hold the fetus in their bodies...What gives men the right to judge when they will never be in the position of having an unwanted pregnancy?

I have a hard time with the question of men's rights during a pregnancy. They may not carry the baby but don't they contribute to it being there? While I do not think a man has a right to force a woman to have an abortion shouldn't he have the right to oppose the loss of his child? Just because men don't carry the fetus does not mean they are not in the position of having an unwanted pregnancy.

How can a woman claim it is unwanted if the man who helped make it does not know about it , and may want it .

Besides if you do not wish to become pregnant don't do nothing to get pregnant ..if you just have to do it , use birth control , if you are too dumb to use protective measures then you are probably to stupid to be bumping uglies ...

If you shoot a gun into a crowd , and it kills someone , should they just let you go because you didn't want to kill anyone ,
NO .
If you are driving under the influence and cause a fatal collision should they not charge you because you did not want to wreck in the first place .
NO.
Everyone needs to accept responsibility for there actions instead of looking for an easy fix for stupid decisions , I am not totally against abortions in certain cases , but it is not a solution for the consquences of stupid or careless actions , I had this happen to me , she got an abortion , I tried to get her to keep it and if she did not want it , she could sign her rights away ,and I would keep it , I wanted it , she done it anyway , this girl has not been right in the head ever since , she has nightmares about that abortion , she saw the fetus ,and everything afterwards , we are no longer together it has been years , I still see her ,and her family , and after 17 years this girl is still not over this , so should the govt. also pay for counseling I think not , She had options but chose the quick & easy way out , now she has to live with it . After all everyone know the quick &easy way is not the best way , after all the quickie with a easy girl is what leads us to this discussion .
As far as the woman holding the fetus in her body this is true , but had the woman not allowed him to put jed in there she would not have the fetus in there. I think the baby daddy should have a say even if the mommy don't want it , the daddy might , and if daddy don't know about it how can the woman say honestly that it is unwanted . dads have just as much parental right to a child . unless women have found a new way to make babies with out a man , and if that happens all men will be crying like babies tomorrow. I am not trying to argue anything as there are good ,and bad points to both sides I am just giving a mans point of view , the girl I am with now she and I have one child together , my other three had mom's that did not want them I have custody of all three . I was resposible enough to do it with their moms and I accepted the consequences of my actions even though their moms could not . Had I any control over the one that was aborted I would have four of my own plus the one with the girl I am with . I did it with no government assistance what so ever , it was hard as h*ll , but who ever said it was easy . the moms do not make the choice to bump uglies alone the guy has say so , after a child is born the guy has a say , so why should he not have a say as to give life to something he help create ...

Your point is well taken, and it certainly is a popular opinion, even if it isn't based on reality.

In reality, the man DOES have a say, simply because he is going to be expected to provide material, spiritual and practical support for the child, for the rest of his/her life. This is not a casual commitment, and the man has a right to at least a "say" in the decision.

Certainly, the woman has ultimate control over her body, but if you don't recognize the fact that a man has a right to an opinion, and that that opinion should be very seriously considered, then you have no hope of having a harmonious relationship past the point where the pregnancy test comes back positive.

We men can't have unwanted pregnancies, but we have to deal with a whole lot of the consequences. Personally, I think I'd respect the opinions of feminists more if they at least acknowledged the importance of having their men on their side before cruelly dismissing their importance.

We're supposed to work as a team with our partners, and that includes coming to an agreement on this particular important issue, sometime before the end of the first trimester.

at a similar time as frequently i would not place abortion and going topless interior a similar sentence, i think of i'm getting the draw close of what you're asserting. in my opinion, I do take a stand for women being allowed to bypass topless in environments the place adult men are allowed to. i think of its very unfair that a guy can bypass sunlight bathing and not utilising a suitable yet i ought to positioned on one. yet that is not "adult men" yet a equipment--and a equipment not made up completely of adult men. So shall we not ingredient the finger basically at adult men, right here. i've got met many many females who think of its a terrible concept for a female to legally bypass topless at seashores or the such.

The same moral grounds I have for challenging someone killing a defenseless animal or killing anything for no good reason.

It so very much sickened me when I saw the feminists picketing the Supreme Courts decision to uphold the ban on late term abortion. They are either uninformed, extremely cruel or just evil.

Do YOU know what happens during late term abortion? The so called doctor maneuvers the baby to have the child's feet come out of the vaginal canal first. Some idiot somewhere determined that it's not alive until the head comes out. Then the so called doctor takes a long blade pair of scissors and thrusts them into the brain of the child. At that point, the child's arms and legs stiffen from the shock of the pain. The so called doctor then begins to extract the brain to ensure death.

This is horrible and a woman has no right to allow such a procedure. They should not consider abortion as a method of birth control.

Probably because they see the baby as being an independent life rather than part of the mother.

The kind of men who say abortion should be illegal often don't believe in euthanasia either, they simply don't think that life should be ended early and they consider that life rather than the mother herself.

You can disapprove of the killing of a fetus if you're a male. A woman who doesn't want to get pregnant should take the proper precautions, not compound her mistake by murdering her unborn child.

The same reason that allows a man to tell a woman not to kill a living person.

Although personally I think abortion is totally wrong, I support the decision of the female to have it (even if it IS one of the most vilest things you could ever do).

It's like homosexuality to me. Totally wrong in my opinion. A woman and a man gave birth to you. A woman and a man gave you a chance to be on earth. You wouldn't be here if either of them was gay. That's just my opinion. But none-the-less, it's YOUR decision, and I don't judge because of it. I know plenty of gay people. He who have sinned cast the first stone, you know?

But I'm just telling you how they could do it. They are authority, they figure it to be just like regularly killing someone, and that's their method of thinking. But then again, George Bush is anti-Abortion, so really, how much thought could really be put into that mindset as a whole if George Bush the idiot backs it.

How can anyone living say it's OK abort an unborn child? Everyone who supports abortion has been born already!

How could people who didn't own slaves say slavery should have been illegal?

Same logic.

There are defensible arguments for legalized abortion. This is not one of them.
