We need the context bud...but roughly....if somebody wins a court suit, it sounds like there are conditions attached.

Upon award means after granting of a privilege or giving of title to a land or thing.

It means when you actually get whatever is being given to you. When you physically get the money, property, etc. Hope this helps!!!
