They'll still have a chance because they're
incredibly talented on so many levels

But I think it will be much less likely for them
to win this year than it was for them last year
because its always tough for players
to adjust to a new coaching staff

=)

While they "technically" have as much of a chance as any other NFL team in each of the two divisions (they each start the season with a 1/16 chance), my gut feeling is that they won't be playing in Super Bowl '07.

I believe they had their best shot with Marty, and that chance is over. Anyone watching KNEW it wasn't Marty ball that cost them that last game.

I'm not a Charger fan, but my heart still went out to him when he knew it was over at the end of that last game, and I'm in shock that they fired him after that incredible season.

MISTAKE WITH TURNER. Not a good head coach, has no motivation, and just expects to win with only talent. He said the only way to win it all was talent. Just look at last year's Super Bowl. The Colts's D was NOT as talented as the Bears'. The Colts' only have a few players on the defense worthy of a Pro Bowl. And yet, they made them look silly. I know that the bears had to stop Peyton, but still, the Colts got the job done.

Chargers are the team i predict will go to the SB for the AFC this year.

I said the Bears would go last season, good news, they did, bad news, they lost, good news, they lost to my indianapolis colts.

I'm saying it's going to be the Chargers for the AFC this year, but i have no idea who's going for NFC, but I'm saying the Charges will win it all.

Despite having Marty Schottenheimer who I HATE with passion coaching their superstar team last year... they made it VERY far... with a coach that hasnt proven himself.... but also hasn't disproven himself with the force that Marty did, I think they have a GREAT chance next year. Look at that team....

League MVP Tomlinson, Gates, Rivers, Merriman, a great kicker with Kaeding, and even a great punter in Sciffres. 9 probowlers last year.
I really think they'll be going ALL the way this year!

They are definitely playoff material, and of course in the playoffs anything can happen. But to me, Norv Turner has never really proven that he can take a team to the next level, so I would look elsewhere for top Super Bowl contenders.

Yes. They have everybody coming back and if they compete the trade of Michael Turner, they'll have an additional first round pick. They could address both their areas of need in the first round, safety and wide receiver.

I think they are wildly overrated and I don't think they will even make the playoffs. Tomlinson will not be the leading rusher, Rivers will be erratic, and the defense will be exposed as suspect.

AJ Smith will be fired for gutting the coaching staff.

They won't even be as good as the Chargers team that didn't win it last year.
