The US should pull out of Iraq but not to concentrate on "an inevitable onslaught on Iran." If you believe an "onslaught" on Iran is inevitable why does it have to be the US to do it? Last I heard many countries are opposed to their developing nukes. If anything, we should pull out of Iraq so that when the UK or any other country attacks, our troops won't be sitting there for the Iranians to attack and draw us into the war.

Two things to consider:-
1) Iraq is an ideal staging post for the US forces.
2) Iran if it does kick off the probability is that tactical air strikes will be used as a land invasion is a non starter.
If the US withdraw from Iraq it will take about 9 to 12 months for the forces to re-group and up tool and by this time the problems with Iran will have worsened.

Iran sure seems to to be itching to start something. We shouldn't have gone into Iraq in the first place. What a WASTE of fine young lives.

I have said it before, and will repeat it.

Where one child is killed in Iran as a direct result of an American or American lead invasion, then there is not a citizen anywhere in the world who is safe or an innocent if they are from a Country with armed forces in Iran.

Kill and be killed, and as this is the view of the armed forces of the robber politicians, then they must know that the bloody knife is going to twist back on them.

I think the best thing is to put someone in power in Iraq that can control the country, like Saddam Hussein!!!! Then the US need not worry about the destabalizing of the middle-east and the birth of an Iranian super state...... oooops too late!!!!

God help the Iranian people, why can't America just leave them alone, they've done enough damage, but you are right, it is inevitable, hopefully they will not pull out of Iraq get bogged down in both countries and end up suffering huge losses just as the people they 'liberated' have
