How can I wash off masking tape marks. I used water but it obviously didn't work!

Use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Or you can use a product called Goo Gone.

i think rubbing alcohol will rub the paint off if the walls are painted. try WD-40 its more safe for paint i would guess never had to use it on walls. used everything i could think of on my peel and stick tiles to get the glue off some of the tiles(mineral spirits, acetone, etc.) and low and behold my brother told me to try WD-40. with a brush and a lil elbow grease it came right off

rubbing alcohol will soften the glue from the tape then gently scrape or wipe off residue

i'll go with KJ's answer. Next time try the blue painters tape.

Pour alcohol over it then rub it off.
