No, not at all. I wouldn't do that. That makes no sense to me. The idea is to give the Best Answer award to the best answer to the question that you asked--not to give the Best Answer award to someone just because they gave your question a star. If that was the way it worked and people caught on to that going on, everybody would start starring every question. Not a very good idea.

I usually give the best answer the best answer. sometimes I give the worst answer best answer to be different. i never look at the stars cause I usually never get em.

It depends if they have the best answer (in my opinion) then yes but if someone has a better one then I choose them for it. Just because they starred me doesn't mean they should automatically get the best answer...

Sometimes. If the answers are equaly good and I can't decide then it helps . But, usualy go with best answer more for what they say. Oh! By the way check your stars! :0)
