keep it the same or pick one sooner or later? How much would change it? And why?

Folks, this in the Philosophy section. What about the music available as you are growing up, the wars that you might be drafted in to fighting, the privacy issues, the communications systems available, computors, the economy, etc. I thought this section was supposed to promote thought?

~I'd back it up about 2 hours and 6 minutes to save my mother some of the wear and tear of labor. To change it too much more than that would be grossly unfair to my ancestors and siblings, who would have to go through a corresponding change in order for me to come back as me. If I'm not coming back as me with this new birthday, then your question is based on false premise. Ah, but if I play your little game and actually do it, do I get to undo it when I find out the grass wasn't really greener on the other side of the clock?

The year you are born does not make much difference. It is HOW you live your life, whenever and wherever you were born that is important. Each part of history and the world has its own distinct advantages and disadvantages. The key is to be the best person you can be no matter when or where you were born. If you do that, you made a positive difference in your time and era.

ps If such a thing were possible, and you would know what you know now, I think I would like to go back in time to around the 1760' era when the world's environment was better and safer and people at least had morals. I would have loved to know benjamin Franklin! BUT, I would surely miss the computer, the air conditioner, the telephone and television, the auto etc. So you see, "it was the best of times and it was the worst of times" is such a true statement for us all!

I have two big laments.
One is people born after the Civil Rights Movement don't understand the struggle.
Two is I was born too late to be a great contributor to Hip Hop music.
Since you can't have it both ways...I'll stay where I am! I'd rather understand how far we've come than to actually be recognized as a 42 y.o. white woman who flipped hip hop on it's ear...
And yes, we've come a long way for a white woman to even want to be a rapper!

I would love to have been born after the civil war after slavery when life was simple and people worked hard and loved their neighbors and cared for their families. Ate together and prayed together. There was no polution and we worked the earth for our food. I am 38 years old and I wish things weren't so high tech. Live ,love and laugh as for you will never know when tomarrow doesn't come.

I would not want to change my birthdate, because god chose that day to be a special one for me. With the billions of people in the world that have something that unique to claim as their own, why would they want to change it.
