thought vsnl has been bought by private, it is still a Govt concern. as u know, no govt offices function good, Vsnl is also like that. Good thing is you dont have to work here and you will get paid as other govt employees.

First of all. try to stop gossip and dont be so addled before joing the concern.
after getting the job u shld hv not asked htis question to us.
before going to the interview u shld hv asked ok.

First join with VSNL and if u find bad things turn into good one.... all things are bad that are now turn into good... no one bad for long period..........
try to show ur interest of good things....... best wishes
don't follow others advice ........ first do it........big concern lot of govt IT research centre are coming.... get opportunity.. u will get permanent job shortly and with Central govt. pay... and pension, etc.,

Since you begin with bad things, then it is not worth joining.
VSNL has been taken over by TATA.
