You kind of didn't say anything specific.
For example, if you need money to pay the rent, then maybe sell some things you don't need or use (old CDs and DVDs)
If you want to make some cash to do something like travel or buy something, then get a night or weekend job.
If you want to be rich, well the higher the return the higher the risk. Horse racing can be a good way. Professional punters can take home more than people on the stock market. Speaking of which, some high risk investment could get you a quick return. But remember, high return high risk.
For return on money, you didn't say over what time frame and how much money you have to start.
Franchises are often a good business investment. They can start from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands, but generally they are successful businesses.
You can also look around to put your money into a business. You don't do any work, but your money goes into a friend's restraunt or whatever business.
Other quick ways is to try and find some gimmicky thing to sell on eBay. A sandwich with the face of Jesus, a wash cloth with Micheal Jordon's face...who knows.
But generally people who chase the money are either cheating in some way, or will lose their money. Better to find the need in the market and fulfill it.

You could always mow lawns, wash cars, pick up pop cans and sell them. You could deliver news papers, babysit. If you have to have money these are a few things you could do.
