Time to start getting the grubs.. they'll destroy your turf when it starts getting warm. Grub-ex or triazicide..

Fertilizer with weed control is usually good this time of year, if you haven't already fed.

Years ago I was taught in classes that the Spring is the time to prepare, the Summer to worry, and the Fall to eliminate for turfgrass.
If you have not already fertilized your turf, and with this wacky weather most have not, do so with a granular 10-10-10 with minerals fert at the minimum manuf. rate. Topseed, with a Certified (BlueTag) quality grass seed mixture this weekend.
Either Mother's Day or the weekend following spray the turf with a Broadleaf Weed Killer. I strongly suggest the spray versus granular for the health of yourself, family, and pets. Within four hours of drying the agent is not as readily availble to any of you. Two weeks later (Memorial Day) apply a second fertilization.
On the weekend before Father's Day apply your grub control. You need to keep a listing of any compounds you have used in the past. Each year change the chemical you use! Some chemicals can actually be applied between Thanksgiving and Christmas and protect against grubs yearly. Some are quick act, some residual, some ineffective.
Contact you local County Extension Agent for more information on the chemical of choice for that year.
Personally I use a granular Sevin compound for both turf and the garden. Despite the "chemical scares" this compound is commonly found in most flea collars. Remove your clothing and wash immediately and seperate from others. Water the compound in ASAP. Do not let children or pets walk on or drag in the compound to the house. A half an hour of watering and the drying will eliminate that risk.
Next year you will use a different compound to battle the risk in the turf and garden. Again, the County Agent will be free and of great help. I suggest that you go to a Landscape Supplier for any of the chemicals versus a Box Store. I further suggest that, with the info from the Agent, you secure a specific chemical. Make notes of the chemical used for your own safety and protection.
In the fall you want to eliminate the broadleaf. Again, use the spray to protect everyone. While a bit unorthodox, I will use a spray application in Mid September and six weeks later for two years in a row. I also make sure my spray has the dreaded 2-4D compound along with MCPP and Dicamba. The 2-4D is hard to find but the true bullet to Dandylions, clover, etc. Hope it helps.

A good weed and feed like Scott's Bonus S. Water it in afterwards. Here we sometimes have cinchbug problems but I can't really tell you what to use unless you know what kind of critters you have.
