What are we all sheep? We either put the leaders there, or let them remain. Leaders can't fight wars without our complicity.

An interesting question and answer to your own question.
"Why DO Religion and Politics cause so many wars?"
The governments start them, and YET we all have to fight them?"
Actually, there are very few examples where the entire population is forced to fight in a war. Women and children were often excluded from the fighting. My thoughts are Religion and Politics are not separate entities by themselves, divorced from the people, they are made by, for, and of the people who may (or may not) believe in them. An undeniable fact is - success in war has been the key factor to every major civilization - yours included. Also, throughout history civilians have watched the soldiers from their nations/religion/political parties engage in war, and "cheered 'EM on" from the sidelines. It appears you approve of war as long as you are a spectator, and not a participant. Others feel differently, they would rather be participants than the spectators, who can only watch the war on "safe for television" CNN broadcasts.

Well, politics is the reality that people have different agendas. Religion may be cultural and also part of one of these opposing agendas, because it defines people's beliefs and way of life, which people will defend if it is important to them and it is under attack.
I see the problem as political players using these cultural differences to further their personal agendas which is in reality a pursuit of power and profit. If conflict is genuinely driven by cultural differences or becomes so because of the course of politics...then it is still the job of governments to mediate between the different factions in order to achieve a sustainable solution.
Because of the corrupting nature of power and power structures, this obligation gets rather lost.
I agree, put the political stooges of big business in a ring to fight it out for themselves, then see if they would rather get on with what they are supposed to be doing, or hand the job over to someone who will.

That question was ask by a philosopher around two thousand years ago. I think there is still no answer.

quite agree Kat if the heads of govern met and religion were to slug it out in say a boxing ring every time someone threw the toys out of the pram it would make life much easier and extendable(if such a word exists)for all concerned and the rule should be winner takes all

I think the answer may be that both politics and religion can attract fanatical people. These people are the last that should be given power but, sadly, it happens all the time.

"What are the motives/motives of/for coming up religions?" a faith provides you a measurable survival benefit to its contributors. style of like how an ant colony reward from communal habit, and the member ants do extra suitable too (on overall). "What intrigues the main seems to be the justifications scientology replaced into created?" LSD. virtually have been given one with "Stranger In an strange Land", yet Heinlein's spouse kiboshed that, if Heinlein himself would have enable the shaggy dog tale run on long sufficient. "Are the needs themselves reported interior the religion?" not in an excellent number of words. to correctly known the purpose, is to contemplate alternatives, and then motives of a paintings this can be attributed to God, yet is in fact penned by utilising guy. "Is enlightenment of the Buddha a reason for faith," Buddha would not say so... "merely as plenty relativity of Einstein is the reason for the present status of physics?" Enlightenment is very such as revelation, this is genuine. we would be in a distinctive place devoid of Einstein, for specific. If faith did not disallow homosexuality and abortion, international populations would be a million/tenth what they are at present. on the grounds that Earth is suffering below extra living, quivering meat than this planet has ever seen in heritage, faith is killing the planet. So faith very plenty shapes the international at present. And technological expertise is straining to maintain us all alive...

The church (religion) has been responsible for a lot of needless wars in the past. The church has a lot to answer for.
As for politics, it`s still happening now and always will unfortunately :-(

you know...GOD wouldn't like this very much...people using religion as an excuse for fighting, when what really is behind it all is bravado and well...just people wanting to force thier ideas on other people and it getting way out of hand
it..the fighting over it, in itself, is a sin
