There is nothing to tell other than it is a very dumb scam, and if you believe this you should immediately donate all your money to a good cause and go live as a monk/nun instead of giving it to crooks.

Just cursory examination shows a LOT of problems:

1) WHY would a BRITISH lottery give away AMERICAN DOLLARS? British lottery should be giving away British Pounds.

2) If they know where you live in order to "verify" your info, couldn't they have at least called you up? After all, they have millions to give away, they can afford a phone call, sure?

3) Let me guess, since you didn't include the whole message... The e-mail contact address is a freebie address like myway.com instead of an official sounding BritishLottery.co.uk? (Not that there is such a thing)

Come on, people! THINK!

Anytime you've "won" a lottery you didn't enter, it's a scam.
