Although I don't advocate the lusting for money, we're all well aware of the things money can buy: big comfortable homes and nice vehicles. College educations, it's a great feeling to be able to focus on school and wear nice clothes until you graduate and generate money from yourself.

Poor people have a lot of "money" problems. If they miss a paycheck they may have problems paying their bills so in that case you can see why one would lust for money.

Bible says, "The love of money is the root of evil" because money inspires power and greed. The more money you have the more power you have and the more greed you have leads to get more money at the expense of anything or everyone else than yourself. Google Richard Dawkins who is using his wealth in perverted ways to influence the political structure of this nation to further his own gains. Heaven help us if that dude is elected president some day! He is listed as a criminal in several countries yet he is funding some of the people running for president in ours!!! People lust for money because with enough money, you can have any material thing you want (with a very few exceptions). Plus, problems seem to be less frequent when you have money.
