Hey, Abhishek from IIM Lucknow here. I would recommend that you opt for a full time 2-year MBA rather than a distance education programme or a part-time evening executive MBA course. This for a number of reasons:
1. The course itself is pretty taxing and it takes a lot out of you. You might just not be able to devote time to your studies and your performance might dwindle.
2. Its not just about the theoretical knowledge, its about learning from the environment as well. you tend to learn more from the peers you have. They are normally a diverse lot and everyone adds value somewhere or the other. Try not to miss that part.
3. The part time MBA is not valued as much as a full time MBA from a good college. The pay scales do differ significantly.
In case you have issues with a full time MBA, then IIMB has an executive MBA programme that conducts classes only on the weekends.

Hi! i am also be doing MBA after a year. I think if you already have a good degree then you must do MBA from a good institute. Ifr otherwise you just need to earn money for the living then MBA from open univ is also OK. At last, the choice is yours.

Doing MBA by distance education is of no use and its worth is as good as nothing in open market. In case you are keen on doing it you may opt for IGNOU. All others are useless and would do no good to your job prospects. Further these institutes give you PGDBA and not an MBA degree.
