I pick it up, it wasn't that long ago that I had to cash in pennies to make it until payday some months..

Not only do I pick them off the floor, I pick up any money off the ground in parking lots too. That's been a good way to find an old silver dime or a wheat penny. If nothing else, copper is recyclable.

I calculated the hourly wage that picking up a penny would generate and it is pretty good wages for the labor. I pick them up and put them in a special lucky piggy bank. :O) Money is money. I remember when a penny bought a bunch of candy....sigh.

I check to make sure it's not an old one then if isn't I sweep it up

I only pic up $10 bills or higher.....you could poke your eye out bending over into the broom
