Hello Friends,
I always receive a comment from my boy friend that " What you are talking about is too idealistic" Whenever I say anything he will surely make some opnion about me
So these days i have become reluctanat to share my views and opnions with him. And what frustrates me more is He is completely ignorent about my silence.
He hails from Nagpur and I am from a Bombay..So his only comment about it is people from bombay are like this only..so I tell him that its his choice to be here...Bombay has never invited him. It hurts me whenever any body says bad words about my home town.
since child hoon i read lots of books...and he does not even touch a magazine..what he reads is only a sports page so when I want to share a nice thought I read some where he says
"Your Views are too idealistic" on the contrary he expects the that my behaviour with this family shound be ideal in every manner,,,I get irritated when he says like this.
What should i do? please help

There is no point in remaining silent. I faced the same with my brother let him know what you are feeling. If not in a nice manner let him fell the pain and know about ur feelings He will understand better

Hi there, I wanted to tell you that you sound like a great, intelligent woman. Your opinions are yours, and you should not be afraid to voice them to anybody. Your boyfriend is from Nagpur, which I don't know, but maybe he is insecure about people from big cities like Bombay. He feels better to put you down. Most men around the world are afraid of women with opinions, not just your boyfriend.

Based on the information you provided in this question, I am guessing that you have more education than him, and because of that you value different things in life. But it might not be as bad as it seems. He might not even realize that he is hurting your feelings and that something is wrong. If you really love him, talk to him. Tell him what's bothering you/ your feelings. If nothing changes, break up. In that case he definitely doesn't understand you and doesn't deserve you.

AB i would only ask u to avoid ur & ur bf difference to be a difference of cities. it is ur both culture& atmosphere that have made u same . u see both the goods & bad of both cities they are equal . ur views if u coment should look to either espects also . it is ur & his differece in views & hobbies. but don't take these differences sereously if u feel that u can't take that then i thing u have made a wrong choice. but i tell u me & my bf has all the views different but we take both the differeces as thiers & just enjoys to fight for fun. but not take it seriously.

It's too bad that you've stopped communicating because of this. I hope you both have other things in common, as this is going to continue to be a bone of contention until he either smartens up, or you kick him to the curb.

Tell him that if he realized anything about women, he might get it. He is too self absorbed to take notice of your feelings. I suggest that you let him know that you are unhappy with the things he is doing, and tell him that if it continues you will be forced to leave him. He has no right to disrespect you as he is doing.

I think people, especially, the friends, must accept & respect you as you are. Similarly, you must value yourself for what you are. No individuals on this earth could be same and that's where the originality of the individuals comes from.
If he does not respect your individuality, he is not worth your friendship.

i dont think that this relationship will take you very far........once communication has stopped it becomes uncomfortableand you will find yourself constrained and suffocating to think every word and speak.
the most comfortable relationship is where each of you are able to respect and value others ideas and beliefs
