Mostly the man, acutally. Kind of makes you laugh at Henry the 8, He wanted a boy and only got one.

The sex is determined by the father. The child will ALWAYS get an X gene from the mother, and will get either an X or a Y from the father. XY = Boy. XX = Girl. Proof the koran is a divine book? - If a book claims to know whether the mother or father determines sex, it needs only guess, and has a 50% chance of getting it right. - Logically, that means that 50% of books that guessed whether mother or father determined sex would be correct. Does thqat mean they're all divine?

It is the man that determines the baby's sex.
Men have X and Y chromosomes and women have X and X chromosomes.
No matter what an X chromosome is going to come from the woman, while the man has the chance to give either one...that chromosome determines the baby's sex.

The man. Gender is determined the moment of conception. All eggs have an X, which means female. Sperm can either have X for girl or Y for boy. So when combined with the woman's egg, XX makes a female and XY makes a male. Hope I helped!

The man determines the baby's sex. Females only carry X chromosomes, and males carry both X and Y. So depending upon the sperm that fertilizes the egg, that will determine the baby's gender.

The sperm cell, or the male contribution of the zygote will determine the baby's sex. This is completely random and a .50 percent chance for either sex.
It is not the man who determines the baby's gender, rather the male contribution to the union of cells.

The male determines the gender of the baby.
Sex chromosomes in the female human female are XX; those of the male are XY.
Male produce X-containing Y-containing gametes; males determine the sex of offspring.

The man does. Women's eggs are X and sperm are either an X or a Y. It takes two chromosomes to determine sex. Each parent contributes one chromosome-one from the egg and one from the sperm. XX is girl and XY is boy.
