Oh and i keep them in wart water with a heater and tried to raise the temp.
But my heater keeps turning off these days, sometimes, and the water doesn't feel as warm as before.

My first thought is that you are dealing with a fungus on your molly. Mollies are rather prone to fungus infections unless you have plenty of salt in their water. You don;t mention any other fish in the tank, but a teaspoon of salt per 5 gallons won't hurt any fish and will help your mollies. If all you have is mollies in the tank I would suggest 1 tablespoon per 2 gallons. Use either aquarium salt or just regular Kosher salt from the grocery store. I use the kosher salt because it's the same stuff just cheaper.

I recommend you treat your tank with a fungus medication from the pet shop. Any pet shop will carry fungus medication and most all of the brands work pretty well. Just take the carbon out of your filter and treat per the directions on the bottle.

If this doesn't clear up the problem in 4-5 days, or if the problem keeps getting worse then you may have a protozoa infestation. You can treat that with a medication called Clout or even with a good ich medication. It's not ich, but ich medications kill this too.

Best of luck and if I can help feel free to email me.

Not all ich looks like white salt specks. Velvet and cotton also are forms of ich and look like white slime. It will eventually attack the gills and kill your fish. Fungus does not grow or move like that.

It sounds like velvet or cotton ich. It needs an ich treatment used to cure those types of ich. Yes it is contagious. Mollies are prone to getting velvet and ich in general. Raising the temperatures will only stress your fish more.

Get a good ich medication and follow the instructions. DO NOT Start adding all kinds of things to the tank.

Sorry to hear about your fish.

Although a photo would help, mollies when kept in fresh water are prone to different types of ich. Ich can be like a velvet white covering can appear on the body, gills, face etc, or it can appear as little white spots. Usually on the fins and face. needs treated with ich medicine.

Fungus can also seem to be a smoother white splotches on your fish. Not treated with ich medicines.

Also there are a number of other bacterial and fungual diseases that can attack your fish. You need to know exactly what your fish has before you treat. If your fish has more than one, the most serious (ich) should be treated first.

Usually Mollies get a lot of ich when in freshwater. Mollis live in water that is brackish-lightly salted with aquarium salt. I would recomend, if you only have mollies, to put in aquarium salt so the ich will escape.

It sounds like your fish has ich. Quarantine the fish immediately and use the commercial ich remedy until white spots disappear.
