I just heard the mayor of my city saying that on TV, but I'm not certain....please enlighthen me !

Please I want facts, data, real numbers, not ranting and raving about the reasons why there are so many Mexicans in LA...thanks for your objectivity !

L A .is Mexico , You would think if it is true , they could maybe clean up a little around town , or at least pave the roads , I have been out there many times , and it may be one of the richest dumps in America , next to Manhattan

It would not suprise me in the least that Los Angeles annual budget exceeds that of Mexico. Mexico has not taken care of its needs - ever - to my recollection. Hence the "need" for so many people from Mexico to come to the US and particularly - LA

Half of Mexico already moved to LA, so of course it's equivalent to the other half of Mexico that is still in Mexico....

LA's total budget for 2007 is $436.50. If you don't believe me, just look how often they clean the streets, or how long it takes to get a police officer to respond to your house after you report a burglary while you were on vacation.

I am not certain I can answer but I can tell you this California is the 6th largest economy in the world. so its very likely your mayor is correct
