I saw that article about Obama speech. He does make a good point that Bush have been very polarizing and dividing figure and lacked leadership among world leaders. Obama is in good position to take that place since people don't know much about him yet. He is respected abroad to some degree without old enemies. Others might have experience, but they also have some really vicious oppositions because of their long exposure to the public.

I know who said it, and I disagree with the notion that there is a single leader of the free world. That implies either that the USA is the only free country in the world, or that the other free countries' leaders don't count.

Bush failed to build a consensus among nations. He made the deliberate choice to go it alone in the invasion of Iraq, dragging Britian and a few minor nations along. It should come as no surprise that we find ourselves the object of disdain in so many countries. Not many Iraqis will tell you they are better off now than they were under Saddam. Refugees have been fleeing Iraq by the hundreds of thousands, so the war cannot be called a success by any stretch of the imagination.

If you should happen to travel abroad, all you've got to do is to tell their locals that you're American and they will tell you how thety feel about George Bush! If you think Kim Jong-il's name stinks, don't be surprised that George W. Bush's name is treated like sH*t in so many Eurpoean nations. Why do you think Bush needs such huge, huge body of armed guards for protection whenever he travels abroad? The joker knows that he's the least respected head of a nation when he travels abroad and has become paranoid for his own safety..

Is she advocating violent anarchy? Whatever; it is still dangerously close to treason to suggest overthrow of the Executive Branch of the United States. Just because some liberal lunatic isn't getting the worship she think she deserves, or because the majority of Americans elected a President that won't do her bidding her way, doesn't give her the right to usurp authority -- Instead it does give her the right to remain silent until the hanging.

Bush leader of the free world? I thought he was the US president. The free world is something different.
Who said that truthful statement? I'd like to know.
Bush is the leader of the fascists who want to kill the free world for their own profit.

I would just guess that it was Barack Obama. For the moment, I would be reluctant to believe anything that any unproven Presidential Candidate has to say.
