American football, Offensive lineman.

Reason being, you have to be so big and work every single play. They are not the most athletic players on the field, but their position is very demanding. You cant take a play off, or you QB gets blindsided.. or your RB cant get the 3rd and 1 yard to go.

There's little doubt that football (soccer) requires the most endurance but I will not use it in my answer because the questioner didn't include this game and because the question is also a bit broad and undefined. But for the record, they estimate that a soccer player runs about seven miles per game.

Now, the question includes the phrase, "hardest to play." I don't know exactly what that refers to, because it could mean "most physically difficult to perform" or "most important to do well for the sake of the team's success."

I like the first answerer's combination of these two ideas with the offensive lineman choice. In fact, I would expand on that one, if that is what the asker is looking for and be specific with Left Tackle. He covers the right-handed QB's blind side.

As an honorable mention, I will make a surprise offering: he does not apply over the course of a single game, but over the course of a season his choice will make sense. It is baseball's catcher. We underestimate the difficulty of performing that role for 200 playing/hours (behind the plate specifically, not just in game time) in 26 weeks. Anyone who has played more than one or two games at catcher will understand. It wipes out the legs and subjects the player is a relentless string of 90 mph foul tips off the entire body and off the face mask - not much fun...and he has to guide the pitching staff.

But that leads to me my pick: it is hockey's goalie. Why? First of all, he is a high precision position with the single greatest impact on his team's success of any player in teams sports. Period. This should take no argument. Even a pitcher in baseball cannot compare in impact on a game because a pitcher can only participate in a small percentage of his team's innings. A goalie often plays a majority of the games and virtually all of the post-season.

But does it require endurance? Is it physically demanding? Many goalies sweat well over five pounds per game. It may look like they have some moments to rest but there are many many precise feats of footwork necessary that require tense muscle movements and amazing balance on skates! That is a lot more tense than it may seem as it looks like there is "down time." But he never comes off the ice. And the pads are weighty. Factor in the physical difficulty and his immense importance and my pick is the goalie.

I think a lot of dorms have age limits, but you can always apply and see what happens! They would probably pair you with someone closer to your own age than the typical freshman. A few colleges have dorms especially for people over 24 or 25. I'm 22 and going to community college. I'll be transferring to a 4 yr university, but I'm not sure I'd want to live in the dorms. I mean, I don't think acceptance would be a problem for someone in their 20s, but you might find that you don't relate to a lot of college kids because of a huge maturity difference. I don't think athletic teams or sororities would disqualify you because of age...you're still young! Best wishes!

A soccer player practically runs a marithon up and down the field.

Or maybe a marithon runner.

Defensive Nose Guard, Football. Your getting double teamed by 2 O lineman every play, and they know when the play starts!
