I hope the cheating SOB breaks his leg and never reaches 600 HRs.

He's hitting for some power but he has an all or nothing kind of swing. He came back strictly to get to 600 and punch his ticket to the hall of fame. Because of this he swings for the fences in every at bat which limits his contact and leads to that low average. The better pitching that he's facing in the season is making a big difference too. Teams try out young guys that have no chance of making the club just to see where they are. Guys who have been in the league for a while crush these minor leaugers and get inflated Spring stats.

I'm hoping Sammy plays for another two years so he has a good chance at breaking Jackson's strikeout record.

Whiff, Sammy, whiff!

Oh, hit homers too, but keep on whiffin'!

He's hitting 5th behind Tex. He will pick it up when his other teammates heat up. He'll do fine. He's now at 592 HRS and his average is around .220 now.
