The Tell Tale Heart, and that, according to an article I read a few years ago, he might've died of rabies instead of something related to drugs or alcohol, and I think of him as our best short story writer, a great poet, a tortured soul, and someone with a tremendous imagination who was able to transfer his thoughts to paper.
