I don't think you should wear bright pink to the ball (aka your vest/tie). How about a white shirt and a black tie? White and black are classic men's colors, and they match every dress.
Think about it this way - if your bride is wearing a multicolored wedding dress. You wouldn't wear a rainbow tie would you?

Depends on whether you want "impact", or subtle matching. For impact, go with pink silk tie on pink shirt, beneath the black jacket. Prepare to be stared at, and possibly have an angry date, unless everybody has a good sense of humor, then you'll be the life of the party.
For subtle, just add a pink touch to an otherwise classy black and white combo. Perhaps she already has that lined up for you?

a black shirt and a bright pink tie (don't worry it's cool)
or you could be a little more daring and go for a black tie with a bright pink shirt
if you can't match, just go for a plain white shirt and almost any tie. wouldn't do brown or orange or deep red.
