According to Bible, you should forgive your enemy because God forgives your sin through Jesus. Also, another from Bible, if someone slap you, give the other cheek, means that if someone did something bad to you, you should forgive that person. Another extreme is from the New Testament, "Love your enemy", which is very hard to be done. However, will you be able to forgive your enemy at least?

It's true that if you forgive your enemy, you will be healthy and happier because the anger and the stress has been released and forgotten. If you keep the anger, it will only make you sad, stressed, angry, unhealthy, depressed and eventually you will destroy your own body and mind.
So, why just let it go and forgive and life goes on.

I forgive him, just as Jesus would. Whats the point in having hate? It's not going to accomplish anything.

Yes I would.
Believe me, I sympathize with the victims.
I can feel the pain myself. Images and the horror run rapidly through my mind. But I can also feel Cho's pain. I have been (depression) low. Because I once knew what it feels like to feel like you are worth nothing at all. But I would never take another precious life with me. Don't get me wrong, what he did was at all costs WRONG and should have never taken place. I have been hurt very badly by those around me but all I can do is forgive and go on with my life. Once you forgive you come at peace with yourself and the world around you.
I only wish I could have help, I mean I knew nothing of this man, my elder, before this event. And I know this has nothing to deal with this but since he and I both share the same birthday I'm probably going to look back and feel shame. But I know that that detail shouldn't corrupt my mind.

the Bible also says that we should do unto others as we would have done to oursleves. cho, obviously violated that one.
personally, i could not forgive cho. however, like you stated from your interpretation of the Bible, one must forgive.
i do not have a heaven or a hell inwhich to condemn cho, so, therefore, i cannot judge him in order to condemn.
had he been as truly as brave as he proclamied to be, he would not have killed himself; he would have chosed to live and face his audience.
let's face facts: he was a nut job that has disgraced his family, his native land, and he has tortured and murdered not only the Virginia Tech students, faculty, employees, and all other involved parties, but also the world's population. the only thing he did manage to accomplish was that he will "live" forever in the history books as does Hitler, Charles Manson, Jim Jones, and so many countless others.
perhaps the only positive outcome to this horrific situation (if one could find a positive from the slayings) is that because of cho's attack on america, the education system in the US will resolve its antiquated methods of truly protecting our children. this is the new millineum, folks. people are getting murdered in cold blood from psychopaths like cho for no reason other than their being psychos and the victims being in the "wrong place at the wrong time." what we need to address is why we even have people like him acquiring guns. i am a firm believer in owner's gun rights, and had he bought one illegally, we would be tracking down the seller of those guns to have them pay for his damages. he bought them legally, so those people get off scott free for obeying the law. it is a sad situation. had he been a black guy, we would have been hunting down every single person he had ever come in contact with, and we would be finding a way to prosecute them. had he been from iraq or pakistan or iran or afghanistan or any of those other countries, he would have been classified as a terrorist, and we would have, in turn, sought revenge for the deaths and wounded.
this nation needs to really take a look at what is going on, and make some changes. otherwise, we are just "lost souls swimming in fishbowls year after year". we will wait 'til someone strikes again to kill more innocent people, so they, too, can be in the history books.
i can't forgive cho. i won't. if that means i go to hell for not doing so, then so be it.
damn him.

Well... I'm sure if I was involved in this I would be able to say the words... However I don't know how long it would take for them to ring true in my heart.
I feel compassion for his family, he was mentally ill and choose not to or just didn't get the help and support he needed. This isn't an uncommon story with the over burden of mental health services but fortunately it doesn't always end up like this.

Cho was mentally ill. He needed Society's attention- and Society failed him. So he GOT Society's "attention"- the only way his sick mind could think of. And if we DON'T start paying "attention" to people like Cho- there will be others like HIM- who'll do what he did. And if THAT happens- then we shouldn't be able to forgive OURSELVES... -because we will have only ourselves to blame for letting it happen again. So- YES- we should "forgive" Cho- but we should NOT forget him......................

I forgive him and pray for his soul. I believe that not forgiving someone only feeds bad feelings. It eats at us until it destroys us. We can not get over what he did. We need to learn from this but we need to move on.

Joseph's message correctly describes Cho's situation. While I don't condone in any way what he did to these people, everyone is going to have to see that mentally ill people or whatever label you put on them have to get help so they won't go off the deep end.

Seung did not harm me, therefore it is not my place to forgive him.
However, I am convinced that he suffered from paranoid delusions of the worst kind. He may not have been responsible for his actions. I don't know; it is hard to judge the culpability of somebody who is grossly psychotic.
People judge by appearances; God sees the heart.

God will judge him. But to forgive him, you have to know what it feel like as the victim or the relative of the victim.
