it`s possible, because i know people who spoke fine & then developed a lisp after getting their tongue pierced...

My boyfriend had a lisp, but it wasn't bad, A lot of people didn't even know he had a lisp, unless you payed attention and listened close. We went and got our tongue's pierced and We both thought it made it better for him because the barbell stopped his tongue from coming forward so much when he talked. Not everybody is the same though and you might be different but you can always try and if you don't like it, Take it out. your tongue is one of the fastest healing things. Yes. tongue piercings always give people lisps.

It sounds/looks ridiculous. Natural lisps are cute, though.

no, because I have one and I don't talk with a lisp at all. Ok, the first couple of weeks, yes, but after the swelling went down, and i got used to it, it now feels like it's barely there!!!

Probably not, but it depends on what causes your lisp. You will sound funny for the first week or so (until the swelling goes down) but should return to your normal speach after that
