What's the difference between a cartwheel and a roundoff?

in a cartwheel you stay sideways and land 1 foot at a time, in a roundoff you land both feet at the same time

A cartwheel is just going sideways. A roundoff is a cartwheel going sideways but at the end you turn to be facing the place where you started.
