I don't have this problem anymore because I like trends, and the only way to make room for new, trendier clothing is to get rid of old ones. On the topics of fit, why would you keep clothing that you can't wear anyways? I also have a few rules when it comes to clothing: (1) If it doesn't fit, don't buy it or get rid of it (why should it take up room in your closet?) (2) If it doesn't flatter my figure, I don't buy it. (3) If it's stained or damaged and I can't fix it by taking it to the dry cleaners or the tailor, I get rid of it. (4) I only buy/keep clothing that I love, whether because it appeals to my personal style or because it has sentimental value.

Probably because "sowing" is planting things in the ground. If you meant "sew", then probably because it's more convenient to go to the store and buy clothes. Plus, it's less time consuming.

It actually does cost more to buy the fabric than it does to buy a finished garment. Also there is the cost of the sewing machine and it is a learned skill that not everyone has the time or ability to learn.

Lost in Erehwon has the best answer! =)

I do sew, but usually only for costumes.

Why don't I make my own clothes? Because it can often cost more to buy the fabric, zipper, thread, trim, etc than to just buy the clothes.

If you 'sow' something, you plant it in the ground... I think you mean "sew".

And the answer is, because it's much easier to buy them in today's hustle-and-bustle world. It'd probably take a week to make a pair of pants!

Because chicks are baby chickens. Animals don't sew.

Chickens dont teach their young household skills anymore, they are battery hens mainly and they dont have a recharger so are powerless to supply the necessary utilities for this task.
Now get a haircut and get out of the coop poop, stinky.

Is this a mis-labeled Jokes & Riddles question involving farm animals? I know a sow is a female pig, and a chick is a baby chicken... what's the punchline?!
E-I-E-I don't know...
