I found a perfect classy red dress for a wedding I'm attending. Is it still not appropriate if a girl wears red to a wedding? Here's the best part its my boyfriend (of 14 yrs.) sister who is getting married. My boyfriend is the Best Man and his ex-wife is the Maid of Honor. (No they are not walking down the aisle together and they are cordial w/each other) I'm kinda sticking out here like a sore thumb anyway but the dress looks awesome on me and I almost want to make a point. Givem' something to talk about. Plus the bridesmaids dresses are like a cranberry/red color. Am I making a point or just making an &%$ out of myself?

I think the red dress sounds fine, I don't think that rule is in effect anymore.....just don't wear white!!

making an *** of yourself. Any self respecting person would not want to attract attention away from the bride on her wedding day.It shows a lack of class and the others involved will only talk bad about you for years to come. Just blend in with the croud on that day and leave the *** playing role for the reception.

I wouldn't wear red if the bridesmaids are wearing cranberry. Do not give them someting to talk about. This is their special day so try to think about them and not yourself.Yes,you are being selfish as well as making an *** of yourself!

Make the point. The dress fits, so wear it.Give their jawls a work out.I would if I could. If he has been your boyfriend for 14 years, you may be next when it comes to weddings.....His Ex will be dressed like the other bridesmaids,so do it...

If your red dress is indeed classy and you look great in it, by all means you should wear it to the wedding,
