I heard that too, but I tried it and it didn't work... Than I found this thing in Target called Acne Free & it's like ProActive but a lot cheaper and I personally think it works WAAAAAY better... than again that's just me! But I don't have a lot of acne either, so that's why I didn't want to actually start buying ProActive (i just got this free trial thing from a friend) since I don't have such a suvear case. Anyways! I think you should try it it works sooooo good, it's only $17 or 18.99, it's well worth it and like I said, I got mine at Target, but I've also seen it at Wal*Mart.

I wish you the best of luck getting rid of your acne, I know how much of an a** it can be!
Much love!

I've read putting toothpaste on acne overnight can work...but I've never had any luck with it. The idea behind that is that it will dry out your zits. Just keep using your cleansing cloths and I bought a St. Ives face moisturizer at Wal-Mart...I've tried all different kinds Clinique and everything...this one really works! and you get a lot of it for only $5 I use it every morning after I wash my face and right before I go to bed at night. It's amazing my skin looks so much nicer. If you are having problems with zits though here's a good way of hiding them...buy some clear eyes or rohto soak some cotton balls in the clear eyes and put them in your freezer, just so you have them ready... The next time you have a big red blemish just put the cotton ball on for a couple minutes and you should be ready to apply your make up! The clear eyes takes the redness out and the cold takes the swelling down. Hope this helps!!!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

That's a myth, the toothpaste just dries your skin. If you don't have serious acne, just wash your face with any soap but regularly during the day. Five times a day is quite good, and specially when coming from outside. Drink at least two litres of water a day, I know that's what everyone says but it really works and will do wonders for your skin, and your health. Or... you can put toothspaste on your face and later on you'll find yourself washing your teeth with shampoo!

My daughter just started a cream given to her by her dermatologist. It has reddened her face and caused irritation. He has samples of the Cetaphil in his office. The wash and the moisturizing lotion. When I called about the redness and irritation, I was told to moisturize her face about 5-10 minutes before actually putting the cream on. This will allow her skin to soak in moisture first. What I bought was Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer. It is very clean smelling and not greasy at all. It seems to really do the trick so far. It is fairly expensive but it does seem to work. The cost was around $14.00 for 4 oz. There are several kinds, acne, oily skin, ect but this is the daily formula. I know Aveeno is good for Chicken Pox bath and for skin irritation. I really like it.

Best of luck to you.

Sorry I forgot to mention, I wash her face with Cetaphil cleanser first. It seems to do really well. But you can also buy the Aveeno cleanser too. TheCetaphil moisturizer is a bit greasy to me. That is why I do not use it.

It doesn't make the zit totally disappear but it will take away the swelling. With a little bit of makeup you will hardly be able to notice it at all. If you need a moisturizer Bath and Body works has a really good soy facial moisturizer.

Yes. An excellent remedy for pimples or acne-prone skin can be made by mixing 1 teaspoon ground cloves with 2 tablespoons fullers earth and ice water. When you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

Apply a little toothpaste (non-gel) on the pimple overnight. It will dry out the pimple. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

it does dry your skin out, but it also contains many other chemicals that aren't good for your skin, so stick to putting it in your mouth and buy products specially made for drying acne to put on your face.

NEVER PUT TOOTHPASTE ON YOUR FACE! its for your teeth not for figthing pimples. i know that so many people swear by it and so many people say that it works but its not good for ur face in the end. u should stick to stuff that is made for your face and make sure to drink a lot of water!
