for some reason i cant open up my device manger on my dell xp computer..can someone please tell me how 2 get it

I find it at:
Start
Settings
Control Panel
System
Device Manager
To check on a particular device:
Device Manager
Hardware (see a list of all installed hardware)
click on an item
click Properties
you will be told if the device is working properly and you can update the driver if you wish.

Has it ever worked?
I mean, did you get this computer with you not being able to install any software too? If so, that's an administrator rights problem. Contact your administrator, whether it be your parents, your roommate, your boss, (probably not your boss, but you get the idea).

if your not in adminstrator mode it wont open up or it could be that dell has that part blocked? not sure. GL
