How far along are you?

growing pains - just give it time, it will pass
indigestion - take tums
gas - take Gas X
contractions -depending on how far along you are, call the doctor
baby's foot in the wrong spot - he'll move eventually
dehydration - drink 3 cups water
side stitches (like getting out of breath while exercising) - take deep breaths
hunger - eat a high protein snack

It depends how far along you are. If you are in the first trimester, it could possibly signal ectopic pregnancy. In case you don't know, this is when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the Fallopian tube rather than the uterus. This can cause sharp pains and happens 1 out of every 50 pregnancies statistically.
Best advice, call or see your OB/GYN right away.
If you are later than the first trimester, there are a number of reasons that cause abdomen pain. Only your doctor can really tell.
Don't stress yourself too much, not good for you or baby. Hard, I know, but just try.
Since it is on your left side not the right, it pretty much rules out appendix. I hope everything will be alright for you!
Good luck!!

I had a sharp pain on my left side with my first pregnancy and it made me pass out!!
I was told it was just a ligament stretching. It's probably just your muscles stretching out for the baby. I'm 6 months preg. again, I have sharp pains in my sides after I pee :)
I don't know what it is. But it's nothing to worry about.

Being pregnancy sucks for some of us lol. I had sharp pains too, but they switched. Left side one day, right side the next. Its your uterus stretching and all the tendons. My pains got so bad, I couldnt walk. I hobbled clutching my side lol. It should stop soon though. Good luck and congrats!

If your very early in your pregnancy this could be the sign of ectopic pregnancy which is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY!!! If you think you might be having this emergency, please go to the emergency room. People can lose fertility or worse- bleed to death if this condition is left untreated.

If you are later then 8 weeks, what you are feeling is round ligament pain. Round ligaments stretch from the pelvic floor to the fundus-top of the uterus. They can become painful when they stretch. They do stretch throughout pregnancy as your uterus grows.

Is this your first pregnancy? Best to double check with your doctor. But I do experienced the same pains as you did during my first pregnancy. Nothing serious, try mes sagging on the spot daily will help relief the pains. It is just a cramp where most expectant mothers might experienced.

It's called round ligament pain. One of the ligaments that supports the uterus grows from 2 inches to about 12 inches!
I had it so bad with my first it hurt worse than my contractions!
[ Of course he weighed 9 lb, 1-1/2 oz. ] It is usually not as bad with subsequent pregnancies.
