I am starting to just look around at apartments around my area online and get a good idea. What does it mean when it says laundry "Laundry Room" does that mean it's in the apartment or it's in another building somewhere where you gotta use the machines and pay or whatever. Looking for apartments with washer and dryer inside apartment.

It means that they have laundry facilities on the premises. They could be in the same building or in the next building. They don't have washers/ dryers in the apartment. They also don't have laundry hook-ups in the apartment.

Hi there. Laundry room refers to a separate communal room with washers and dryers that require lots of quarters to operate. Other options are washer and dryer hook ups where you purchase your own washer and dryer and can use it in the apartment. Apartments generally do not supply appliances other than a stove, oven and refrigerator. Happy hunting. Oh yes, try to get the ground floor because lugging your possessions and even groceries can be a pain on other floors.

If there was a washer and dryer in the apartment - the ad would say that specifically. Washer & dryer in the unit, or washer/dryer hookups available in the apt, or something like that - because it's very valuable and very rare.

if it says laundry room that usually means that is shared among the other tenants. and you gotta pay to use them. which freakin sucks.

It should specify, however usually it just means they have a mini-laundromat on the premises.
