A) When pH > 7 the solution is basic

B) [ H3O+ ] = 5.0 x 10^-5 >> pH= - log 5.0 x 10^-5 = 4.30 acid solution

C) [OH - ] = 2.0 x 10^-8 >> pOH =7.7

pH = 14 - pOH = 6.3 . It is an acidic solution

A) the pH is 7.5 which is basic
B) -log[H30+] = pH, so -log[5.0x10^-5] = 4.3, which is acidic!
C) -log[OH-] = pOH, so -log[2.0x10^-8] = 7.6989... and pOH + pH = 14... so 14-7.6989 = 6.30, which is also acidic!

so, B and C are both acidic, therefore the correct answer is D, more than one correct response.
