the Iraq war began as an Invasion to topple Saddam Hussein from power. But now that Hussein and his sons are dead, American casualties continue to climb. Have not we learned from the Vietnam War that a coutry cannot be occupied without casualties? Why is Bush so stupid to force Americans in a war we cannot win?

First of all, we should have NEVER gone.
But that has happen.
Ok, will give a qualified "yes"
We need to get Iraq's friendly neighbors (friendly to them, not us necessarily) to take over rebuilding and help with security AS we draw down.

Lets face it, 90% of the problem is US troops where they are not wanted.

We need to step out and carefully fill in the gaps we leave in ways the Iraq people will welcome, or at least accept.

Lets hope many Americans LEARN a lesson from this. Iraq's people never wanted to be like us, they don't like our culture, they don't like our religion, and they really really don't like some powerful country half ways around the world jumping into their country to 'save them' from themselves.

We need to mind our own business.

Yes. However, Bush invaded Iraq for his reasons. We are building fortresses that will last many decades. Don't expect the United States to abandon these facilities in the Middle East for another couple decades.

It reassuring to many and the elections can be manipulated much easier now thanks to computers. Truth is not valued much today, at leasts not as much as the profit motive.

So are you trying to say that in all other wars the U.S. has fought in (besides Vietnam and Iraq) that there haven't been any casualties??
IT'S WAR!!!! PEOPLE GET KILLED IN A WAR!!! PEOPLE GET MAMED AND KILLED!!
Good grief!! How old are you anyway??
Why don't you try going to D.C and taking over as President? Lets see how long it would take you to run back home to your mommies basement with your little computer where you sit and give out information on how to solve the woes of the world?!?

Absolutely not! The minute our men are out of there, that loser from iran fills the void and becomes an even more serious threat to the U.S. Right now we can still spank his flea bitten a/s/s, let him control iraq and the extra oil and we are in serious trouble. People need to start thinking for themselves, STOP watching network news and believing it, and WAKE UP!

Yeah, I agree with you. When will we learn from Vietnam? Leaving an under-protected population in the hands of ruthless killers would never lead to genocide. It'd never happen.

I wish they would all come home. We have proved our point and we need to realize that some countries are just going to have to be different than us. Why do we have to force our beliefs and politics on other people. If they wanted to be like us, they would try and not fight everything.
