I certainly hope for your sake that you're one of the lucky few who doesn't get any. I got a bunch with my first pregnancy, and then more with the second (what's up with THAT?!?). Did your mom get a lot of stretch marks when pregnant with you (or any sisters who may have children?). Those genetics would definitely give you more of a sense about whether you'll avoid them altogether or get a more limited bunch.

I'm sorry to say, but it is still very possible you are going to get stretch marks. Itching isn't necessarily an indication, this happens to most of us regardless. I itched like nuts but still didn't have a single stretch mark up until about 3-4wks to go and It just seemed to happen over night. As bub gets lower and lower it becomes really punishing on the skin. I also moisturised all the time but I don't really think it can save you, if you're gonna get them, your gonna get them. If you do get them and feel a little down about it remember, it's not everyone who can be a mummy and it's a small sacrifice to make.

Hi, Mandy! I am feeling my belly skin very itchy, too but so far no strech marks. Didn't get any with my 1st pregnancy, also so I am wondering If this time it will be the same. I keep rubbing my belly everyday, just in case. Hope you're feeling well!

I thought I wouldn't get any, then all of a sudden there they were! It didn't happen till my 8th month. I used cocoa butter all the time and they still came. My doctor said it doesn't make much difference how much lotion you use.
