I have the combination of sensitive skin and very thick black stubble. For people to say that stubble looks sexy and to leave shaving for a few days - well that isn't an option if a smart image and career development is what you want.

Stubble can look smart if kept tidy but that wasn't an option for me as the stubble on my neck was such a problem I could only shave once a week so I couldn't keep it neat around the edges. If I shaved more frequently, even with Gillette Mach 3 and sensitive skin foam, my neck would be lacerated and raw for days.

I opted for laser treatment. Permanent removal. I had two treatments and I can now shave everyday, I still get the odd nick on my neck but my face rarely bleeds. My stubble doesn't grow so quickly, a lot of the hairs are thinner and there is less hair on the cheeks. I'll probably go back sometime to have further treatments on the hair on my neck.

The treatments cost £75-150 depending on how much of the face you want treated. But it hurts! Even with anasthetic, but worth enduring.

For some it's a self-esteem issue. I always felt stubble looked scruffy and it held me back jobwise as I could only shave once a week and by the second half of the week it looked very untidy.

The advice to wax should have come with a, but it might not grow back in parts ever again and you could suffer from painful ingrowing hairs. Face hair removing cream might work. There are ones for women, but be careful if you have sensitive skin it might burn. You can also have laser hair removal, but it's expensive and can feel like you are having an elastic band flicked at your face, but eventually you should be hair free or less hairy. Good luck, I have leg hairs that look like I'm wearing welly boots and I hate removing the hairs off them, and do so only when absolutely necessary, so even women know how it feels.

I assume you are a man, or an Eastern European woman. Try a hair remover like NADS. This is a product not a part of the body. Veet is good too. The only thing is if they are not sensitive enough for the face.

use an electric razor (in modern parlance 'shaver') your skin is better after you get used to it and it takes about a minute to shave, although I have to do it twice a day.

If you want it gone permanently, you can get laser treatment. It's expensive though.
