Ok, I need to find a place where I can create a website with MY OWN url code. Let's say I want to create a website for a business (xyz company), If I were to use www.freewebs.com, my url would be www.freewebs.com/xyzcompany.
Same thing with Yahoo! Geosites. My url would be www.geosites.com/xyzcompany.
I do not like this. Is there a place where I can create a website where my url will be www.xyzcompany.com? I am already competent at creating a website, I just need the place to go that will give me what I want, which is this kind or url. Also, it needs to be free (if possible!) Thanks to all that respond. :)

Here's one idea. Create your site at one of the free sites (www.geocities.com), and go to www.cjb.net and get a free redirect (the geocities name won't display).

Nothing of that sort is Free. But if you think you have an excellent idea for your website, that will get kicking if you start it, approach hosting companies such as dreamhost.com or siteground .com and talk to their executive. Convince them that you have an excellent idea(if u have one)for a website.

Ask them to give you free hosting and a banner ad or something on the site when started. If your idea is tooo good. You have a chance.

otherwise, im afraid there are no more freebies with a yourname.com (once namezero.com used to give free.coms not anymore)

Sorry to tell you that nothing is free anymore. I suggest you to go to yahoo hosting (http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/). Packages starting from $8.96 monthly is really cheap, and they gave you storage, domain name, email address also with your domain name and a lot of add-ons like counters, guestbook and more.

There are lots of free domain names, but they are not that simple. Here is one site http://www.freedomain.co.nr/ or if you don't mind the ads(there is quite a few) use http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html
