the price will be dropping within the next 6 months after the full release of the 8900 series. Don't expect it to get too much cheaper though, as it is already on the lower end of product line

It will drop in price as soon as the competition starts to market DX10 videocards and more DX10 games/software becomes available

I not sure of it,but the price will reduce because soon there is other newer graphic card is come out.
