Why do people use cheats when playing video games?

because they might rent or borrow the game and have to return it so they use cheats to beat the game fast and some times fun too

Some people can't get pass a certain point, so they'll use cheats to get pass it.

Some people are really bad at games, so if it's too difficult for them, they have to use cheats. These people should be glad that they weren't around in the 80s when there was no such thing as infinite continues.

I asked a matching question, by no ability particularly have been given what I considered a good answer. certainly, cheating takes all the exciting of video games, in my opinion. I used to play Diablo online, until eventually I discovered to cheat, then it grew to become uninteresting and pointless. the only video games I cheat at are those I play with my acquaintances and siblings, the place cheating is definitely the factor of the sport.

I use cheats when I get bored of a game. I remember playing one of the Final Fantasy games....there were sooooo many random battles that 75% way through the game I couldn't stand it anymore. I hate wasting my time leveling up. So I put the game down....but one day I picked it up cause I wanted to see the ending. I used a cheat to finish the story.

Now, people who use cheats in online games usually just suck at the game.

some cheats arent really cheats. in goldeneye for N64, paintballs and big heads were considered cheats, when all they did was make the game a little funny looking and entertaining.

others use cheats to get past a difficult part in a game that they might not otherwise be able to get past. some people are lazy and dont want to put in the effort, and others want an unfair advantage over their opponents.

Because they are retarded and they dont have a social life. Go outside and play some football, or basketball, or something. The only good games anyway are sports games, which arent really fun to have cheats on anyway. All of the other Stars Wars games and crap, are for nerds and game geeks, that cant get any girls!

I do use cheats, but only when i have beat the game all the way through at least once. I like the fun you can have with cheats, you can get unlimited ammo or you never die. I have no issue with people who use cheat codes at all, it make the games that much more fun.

maybe they want to beat it fast or see what they can do if they didn't need to worry about ammo of health etc.I think it takes the fun out of playing. I only use the cheats when I want to check what my Little brother plays so it won't have anything bad in it. I use cheats to finish the game before he dose so if there is a reason to stop him I'll be able to do so in time.

Why spend $100 on a game, then cheat to finish it and put it on the shelf to rot. Why? A waste of money and a waste of time in my opinion.

personally, i like to beat whatever game im playing just normally, but then i always think it is fun to use the cheat codes and go back and do it all again and just have fun being incredibly good in the game.
