I have a classic Crate amp model of a GX212 its an old model, I cant figure out how to get good distort on it.

If anyone knows a good lvl to set everything on please assist.

Honestly Crate isn't the best amp out there, so with only the settings it has, it would be hard to get good distortion. Though a company called Visual Sound makes a pedal called "Jekyll and Hyde" that has a sweet distortion/overdrive with level options, it's not extremely expensive, and it's worth the money. Otherwise, set your bass tones around 50%, middle around 60-80% and treble 60-90%, that's pretty good rocky setting.
