I'm getting my sister a ring to go with her prom dress. She wanted a clear colored, heart shaped stone silver ring. I found two on ebay I thought she would like but not sure, and it's a surprise for her. Which of these rings do you like better?

I really like the first one, but I'm a sucker for the simple look. If her dress is really plain, then go for the second one. But if it's glitzy, the simple one might work better. Does she have a necklace picked out? If she does, compare the styles and tone of the silver to find the best match. Or ask her about her prefered ring band, some people don't like any extra shape to the band because of the slightly different fit--you probably want her to be comfortable and really enjoy the ring, so it would be a good idea to ask.

They're both beautiful but I think the one on the left would be better for your sister. It's a more youthful and elegantly simple style. The one on the right is very nice, but I wouldn't think it's youthful enough for a girl in her mid-late teens.
