I admire his discipline and focus. Once you have raced in even a very competetive amateur series you would understand what he is trying to avoid. I respect him for it - keep focussing Lewis and kick tail.

I can understand how you fell about lewis not saying anything to martin on the grids but then again this is his job and he knows what works best for him. Do remember that this guy is a rookie not minding his excellents starts and his records so far. This is his first time behind the wheel of huge racing car in every track!! So let's cut him a bit of slack for now.

Talking on the grid is pretty pointless. It is nothing more than a nuisance to most drivers busy with last minute team matters and I know that most could well do without it, whatever you see on the box. What do we really learn from it? It's post race comment from drivers and riders that inform. It is all part of the mass entertainment approach for people who dress up, act silly and insult all others except the one they idolize. What a herd of camp followers! They belong at football matches.

Our F1 feed in Canada doesn't include that, so I don't care. I didn't even know that drivers gave interviews while on the grid. It almost seems like something Champ Car would do in a desperate bid to get attention. It's almost like trying to talk to a batter while he's in the on deck circle. I don't blame Hamilton for declining.

That one made me chortle out loud. What a sorry overall performance against Russia the day previous. Maclaren would desire to bypass. terrific of success to Lewis Hamilton, would he beat Alonso and take the championship off him!

If you had listened at the last GP, Martin said words to the effect that he was not going to try to talk to Lewis as Lewis had done well so far without talking to him, and Martin did not want to jinx him!

What does it matter? I'm happy for him to let the driving do the talking. Anyway, I find it really funny when Martin can't find anybody to talk to and wonders around bumping into people, getting increasingly more desperate.
And to Skippy2k2005, You clearly know nothing about his past. Istanbul GP2 2006, from 22nd to 2nd in 20 laps. Is that not good enough for you?!

If it wasn't for him being "the amazing new kid" he would have been labelled a prima-donna by now. In any motor sport the riders/drivers are expected to participate in any opportunity to help the coverage of their sponsors, who ultimately pay their wages.

You're not a journalist are you? We get a potential superstar and there's always someone to try and run them down. Leave well alone and let him get on with winning the world championship.

I suppose its fair enough for the first couple of races but he'll have to start talking soon. I cant see Martin letting him get away with it for too long!
