Yesterday in the grocery store. I do this a lot when I'm out. I think we should do this more, because it in turn encourages others to be the same way. Ever see the movie "Pay It Forward?" Well, I really believe in that. Even a smile, or small compliment can improve someone's day. And, when a stranger does it you know they're not biased as maybe a friend or family member would be in complimenting you.

I can't remember when the last time was exactly, but I do compliment strangers, though not terribly often. Sometimes I want to say something nice, but feel embarrassed so I just turn to the person who is accompanying me and say what it is I like about that person who just walked past.

Today. Anytime I around people I talk to them and encourage and compliment them. Ask what they do for a living and say that interesting, I would love to learn that. True some I say some things when they a horse's butt and want to be Egotistic and put other people down.

Never.
I really dont like it when strange people come up to me and try to talk to me. If I am in a store, I just want to go in, get what I need, pay for it, and leave. The most I want to have to say is "no" when asked "do you have a bonuscard today?". If I am at school, I'll talk to my friends, but almost never "strangers" as you call them. If I know someone, I'll talk to them. If I want random people coming up and talking to me, I'll go to a church.
No, we shouldnt do it more often

It doesn't hurt to be gracious if given the chance, but I find that compliments from a stranger are not always appreciated by the person being complimented.

i always compliment ppl if i like their hair, clothes, or purses or if they were particularly polite/helpful to me. i was raised to be kindly to others, and when i worked in retail, i found that complimenting someone was a good conversation starter to make the customer feel welcomed, like they were wanted in the store.
